KCRD received a $500k HUD Grant, a $225,000 DOLA Division of Housing Grant, and a $306,908 DOLA IHOI Grant to bring in 5 Fading West Development Affordable Homes. These homes were complete in May 2023. Work was complete on garages, driveways, landscaping, sidewalks and fences in Summer 2023.
Four houses comprise 1,216 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The fifth home is 1,600 square feet with 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms (and is ADA compliant on the first floor).

KCRD received a $1 million grant and raised $400k in matching funds to build 5 brand new houses. We purchased five abandoned houses/house sites that were in severe disrepair. KCRD then conducted environmental assessments, abated asbestos, and cleared and demolished the old houses. We then built five brand new single family affordable homes that were immediately rented out.
