BuSINESS INCUBATORS AND SHARED WORKSPACE PROJECTS

KCRD purchased the vacant old gallery in 2017.  We remodeled the interior and created space for three separate businesses;  Style and Grace Salon, Gordon Insurance Office, and Wildcat Corner (a school run store that sells ice cream & coffee & student made gifts). A mural was painted on the facade (by Some Girls and a Mural) in 2023

In August of 2021 KCRD received a Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI) grant and with matching money hired VAP Construction to build a 4,224 square foot business hub that contains two commercial spaces and a shared workspace. It opened in August of 2022.
