New Kit Carson Housing Project on Depee Street & Highway 59
To address the continued lack of affordable rental housing in our community, KCRD is working on a new project to bring in three manufactured homes to Kit Carson. These homes will be placed on two lots, one on Highway 59, and the other on Depee Street - on a site recently abated with demo just completed.

The lack of affordable resing continues to be a huge issue in our community. KCRD recently acquired a vacant, dilapidated property, just blocks from the school. Asbestos present in this vacant house has been abated, and the buildings have been demolished.
